Friends Are Like Seashells

Thank you for stopping by my blog today. This card is one of the cards I created for my Card Buffet event that a fellow demonstrator and I held here in Nelson last weekend. We had 16 ladies come along to a fun crafting event where they created a buffet of 10 handmade cards. This card was created using the Sand & Sea Suite and has a couple of steps to follow to create it. Check out instructions below and create your own version. * Place Seaside Shell die in Stampartaus and place corresponding shell images in place then pick up with two plates. Take die away and place Crumb Cake into same area and ink up large seashells in Blushing Bride and stamp then the smaller images in Crumb Cake. * Now line up image with the Seaside Shell die and put through Stampin Cut & Emboss machine.  *  Put die cut image through emboss folder to give the image a raised 3D impression * Card base is Very Vanilla and first layer is Balmy Blue which is put through the Painted Texture 3D embossing ...

Hand-Penned Petals Vintage Card

Thank you for stopping by my blog today. I thought I would create something a bit different today after seeing a card made by Ann Alexander. I have used a multitude of products and techniques from stamp sets to blending brushes. The background is using the In Good Taste Designer Series Paper which has carried over from last years Annual Catalogue to this current one. * Card base is Very Vanilla 10.5 x 29.5 * First layer is In Good Taste DSP cut at 14.4 x 10cm,use a Blending Brush with Soft Suede to blend colour all over. Use a sponge dauber to apply Early Espresso ink to the edges. * Take a piece of Very Vanilla cardstock 12.1 x 7.7cm, use the Basic Pattern Decorative Masks and blend Evening Evergreen through it using a Blending Brush. Blend lightly and leave some areas lighter than others. Splatter with Early Espresso Stampin Write Marker. Edge the card with Early Espresso ink using the sponge dauber. * Stamp sentiment from Pansy Petals onto a strip of Very Vanilla Cardstock using Ear...

Gift Card Holder Card

Thank you for stopping by my blog today. I have been having fun with the new products from the 2021/2022 Annual Catalogue and yesterday I created a card using the beautiful Pansy Petal Designer Series Paper, this DSP has some wonderful designs and being two sided there are lots of options. * Calypso Coral is the card base, 14.9 x 10.5cm and second layer is Designer Series Paper 14.4 x 10. * For small card I used Basic White at 14.7 x 11.2 folded in half. To decorate the top I used another piece of Designer Series Paper 10.8 x 7.1. Adhere using Tom bow glue. * Stamp the stem in Soft Succulent and the flower in Fresh Freesia & Polished Pink. The flowers in this stamp set are two step which allows you to create different colours and artistic design. Use co-ordinating dies to cut these out. * Place a piece of Soft Succulent Open Weave Ribbon onto card using Stampin' Seal. Then place the stem just above it, then flower has a dimensional. * Stamp senitment in Soft Succulent onto a pi...
