In this weeks 'My Favourite Things' blog I am featuring my favourite Stampin' Up! tools. Tools for crafting are essential and quality tools are a must have. Stampin' Up! have a wide range of tools from bone folders, paper snips to the wonderful Stamparatus. My favourite tools that are available are below but my new favourite is not available at the moment and that is the new Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machines. I can't wait to get my hands on one of these, I haven't decided whether I like the standard or the mini one yet. The standard one will be available to customers from September.

Paper Trimmer

The first tool you should purchase is a trimmer because when it comes to card making cutting is a important part. If you can't cut a straight line on your cardstock then your cards are going to be wonky. Cut & score paper with this awesome portable trimmer. It has metric and imperial measurements and a mid point ruler for smaller projects. Included is one cutting blade and one scoring blade and replacement cutting blades are also available seperately.

Stamparatus

A must have tool for all stampers, the Stamparatus helps you perfectly align stamp images, stamp multiples of the same project quickly and precisely, and get complete ink coverage. The Stamparatus was created by stampers for stampers, so it has all the features you want. I love the multiple hinges so you can place the stamping plates where you like and the open base to fit a piece of 12 x 12 paper. Both these tools I have featured are a great starting point for a new crafter to give them confidence to start and continue their crafting journey.

Diamond Flip Fold Card

Thank you for stopping by my blog today. I found this fun fold card while searching Pinterest the other day, it is called a Diamond Flip Card. It took me a bit to work out the measurements in cms but once I did I was able to make a few of them in a row. For these cards I used the Art Floral Designer Series Paper as the paper is so beautiful and makes me feel like an artist when I use it. I also used the technique of using Stampin Write Markers to colour in the stamp and get a water colour effect. Check out the details below and I look forward to seeing your version of this card. **The card base: cut a piece of cardstock (I used So Saffron) at 10.5 on the short side. Fold piece in half and burnish with bone folder. **Score one end at 5.3cm. Now place the open ends on the trimmer and find the middle, make a pencil.
