In Good Taste Suite

Hi crafty friends

Welcome to my weekly blog, where I hopefully give you inspiration to create your own beautiful handmade cards.

This week I would like to introduce you to one of the new suites in the 2020/2021 Annual Catalogue - In Good Taste on page 122.

In Good Taste Suite is a great combination of beautiful layers and rich textures to make a perfect card for male or female. The stamp set includes some wonderful sentiments, background images and wonderful focal images. The Designer Series Paper is 24 sheets (thats double the usual 12 sheets per pack) of photographic images and visual textures. It also includes 10 Tasteful Labels dies and Wooden Elements that add that final touch to your card.

I cased this card from the catalogue, I love the inspiration that is on every page of the catalogue that beginners to avid crafters can case for their own handmade creations. You can purchase any of the products used here at my on line store.

Card Recipe

1. Card base of  Petal Pink Cardstock 14.9 x 21cm. Score at 10.5 and crease with your bone folder.

2. First layer is Night Of Navy, 14.4 x 10.5cm. Adhere to card base.

3. Third layer is a piece of Designer Series Paper at 13.9 x 9.5cm. Using Gray Granite ink stamp the floral square background stamp onto the panel, three times. Then using Night of Navy ink stamp the leaves image over top of one of the floral images on the right hand side of panel.

4. Place DSP panel of 5 x 9.5cm about the middle of panel covering a bit of the floral stamping and using Tom bow glue.

5. Stamp the flower image in Terracotta Tile ink on Petal Pink cardstock and fussy cut out.

6. Place a piece of the Petal Pink Organdy Striped Ribbon across the small DSP panel using a little bit of Tom bow glue where it will be hidden by flower image. Now place the flower image over top using Tom bow glue.

7. On the small piece of DSP, 5.7 x 2.8cm stamp the sentiment. Then place on the left hand side of card using dimensionals.

8. I used 4 of the small wooden elements but you can use as many or less as you want.

9. On a piece of Whisper White 14.4 x 10cm stamp the feather image with Night of Navy ink and adhere inside the card.

10. Don't forget to decorate the envelope.
