Thank you for stopping by my blog today, I hope I inspire you to create your own handmade cards. Today my card was inspired by Robin P Broome. I love vintage style so I took her card and added my twist to it. Let me know what you think.
Start with a Crumb Cake Cardstock base of 14.9 x 21cm. Then use one of the Basic Pattern Decorative Masks and Crumb Cake ink to cover the front of the card base.
Second layer is Night of Navy Cardstock at 12.8 x 8.4cm. Distress the edges and rip it in a couple of places then use Early Espresso ink and a dauber to colour the edges. You can also curl some of the edges with your bone folder.
Third layer is Crumb Cake Cardstock 12.1 x 7.7cm. Stamp the script image from the stamp set Very Versailles in Crumb Cake ink randomly all over. Then rip around the edges to give an old manuscript effect and blend Early Espresso ink around the edges.
For the flowers, die cut from the Harvest Die with Basic White Cardstock. Use daubers to colour. To get the colours not mixing, use Sticky notes to cover off the stems and colour the flowers then cover the flowers to colour the stems. It does take a little bit of work but I love the effect the daubers give to the flowers.
Take a piece of Crinkled Seam binding and using Highland Heather Blend colour it. Adhere the Crumb Cake to the Night of Navy at an angle, then adhere the flowers. Wrap the ribbon around both and tie a bow.
On a piece of Crumb Cake Cardstock stamp the sentiment in Early Espresso. Die cut with the label die from the Harvest Dies. Then with a dauber and Crumb Cake Ink smear some colour over it. Adhere to card using dimensionals.
