Thank you for stopping by my blog today. I had to come up with a gift for a mid Christmas Party this week and thought about doing a couple of gift boxes using the Stampin' Up! Mini Paper Pumpkin boxes. Stampin' Up! have a wide range of gift packaging from acetate boxes, ombre gift bags and treat boxes. They are all food safe as well. Check out the Packaging Basics on page 137 of Annual Catalogue.
I first used a blending brush and blended Cherry Cobbler all over. Then I took the star mask from the new Adorning Designs Decorative Masks and with Shimmery White Embossing Paste I decorated the top of the box.I cut two strips from the Peaceful Prints DSP (FREE with Sale-a-bration), this has some gorgeous Christmas Patterns. I flagged both pieces at one end and staggered the lengths on top of box.
To tie the Evening Evergreen Open Weave Ribbon I cut a hole behind the lid and threaded it through, this way you can still open the box without untying it.
Die cut the star swirl from the new Silver Foil and adhered it the lid.
Using the Tailor Made Tags I die cut a small tag and stamped the sentiment. Tied it to the bow using the Silver Trim from the Simply Elegant Trim.
The wee mini stars are the leftovers from the swirl die cut.
So here you have a lovely gift box that you can put in a couple of handmade cards, some chocolate or even a soap or two.
All items can be viewed and purchased from my online store. I hope I have inspired you to get your craft supplies out and start creating your own handmade projects.
If you live in New Zealand and do not already have a Stampin' Up! Independent Demonstrator, please contact me and I would be happy to help you with your creative projects. You may also visit my online store to place your order and have it shipped directly to you.
