In this weeks 'My Favourite Things' blog I am featuring my favourite Stampin' Up! Embossing Folders. Again it was hard to chose just two, so I picked the two that I have been using a lot of lately. Embossing folders add lovely texture to your paper which are great for backgrounds on your cards but can also be used as a show piece. Stampin' Up! have a wide range of Embossing Folders, you can find them on page 184 - 185.

Old World Paper 3D

The Old World Paper 3D Embossing Folder is such a beautiful folder, you can use it to create the look of a crinkled, well loved world map or a preserved piece of parchment. Great for your scrapbooking and journalling. 


                          This is one of the cards that was in July's 'Shazza's Crafts Card Club'. 
I used the Old World Paper 3D Embossing Folder 
as a textured background.

Ornate Floral 3D

There's nothing prettier than a background full of embossed flowers. The Ornate Floral 3D Embossing Folder will fill those backgrounds with a bouquet of blooms that are sure to brighten someone's day. Being 3D it means the flowers will pop on the cardstock or you could use Designer Series Paper. 





I taught this card that I made using the Ornate Floral 3D Embossing Folder at a recent Extravaganza Event. It really helps make the flower from Flowering Blooms, pop. The colours in the flower are created using the Baby Wipe technique.

Diamond Flip Fold Card

Thank you for stopping by my blog today. I found this fun fold card while searching Pinterest the other day, it is called a Diamond Flip Card. It took me a bit to work out the measurements in cms but once I did I was able to make a few of them in a row. For these cards I used the Art Floral Designer Series Paper as the paper is so beautiful and makes me feel like an artist when I use it. I also used the technique of using Stampin Write Markers to colour in the stamp and get a water colour effect. Check out the details below and I look forward to seeing your version of this card. **The card base: cut a piece of cardstock (I used So Saffron) at 10.5 on the short side. Fold piece in half and burnish with bone folder. **Score one end at 5.3cm. Now place the open ends on the trimmer and find the middle, make a pencil.
