Welcome to my Weekly Inspirational Wednesday blog. Every week I will post a card with basic instructions that you are welcome to CASE (copy and selectively edit).
Mother's Day is on Sunday 10th May. Its a day to celebrate the female figure in your life whether it be your Mother, Aunt, Grandmother, or best friend. The Best Dressed Suite from Mini Catalogue is ideal for Mother's Day cards, its floral Designer Series Paper and feminine images allow you to create handmade cards with ease.
I made this one using the Lovely Lipstick Cardstock to showcase the Designer Series Paper.
CARD RECIPE
*Lovely Lipstick is the card base 14.9 x 21cms.
*It is also the the first layer, 14.4 x 10cm which has the shoe image stamped on it using the same colour. This is called Tone on Tone stamping.
*Take a piece of Best Dressed Designer Series Paper and cut it 6 x 11.2cm. Then cut a flag shape by marking the middle of one short end then cut into paper to approx 2cm. Cut from each end towards the cut.
*Cut a piece of DSP 1.5 x 7cm.
*Onto a piece of Whisper White Cardstock and using Basic Grey ink, stamp two shoes and sentiment. Using Petal Pink stamp the smudge image onto the two shoes. Now using corresponding dies cut out shoes, and the label around the sentiment.
*To put it all together. Glue down the flag panel with Tom bow glue and place it at top of panel. Thread a Best Dressed Tassel onto Whisper White Bakers Twine then wrap twine twice around the panel and glue down with snail adhesive behind the panel. Adhere to base of card with dimensionals.
*Offset the sentiment onto of the DSP square with Tom bow glue and adhere this with dimensionals over top of the twine.
*Place the shoes with dimensionals above the sentiment.
*Put a Whisper White panel 14.4 x 10cm inside the card and decorate.
*Don't forget to decorate the envelope.
**NOTE: The white Best Dressed Tassels can be coloured in with Stampin Write Markers or Blends to co-ordinate with your colour scheme.
