Parisian Flower

Hi lovely

Welcome to my Weekly Inspirational Wednesday blog. Every week I will post a card with basic instructions that you are welcome to CASE (copy and selectively edit).

Today's card is using the Forever Blossoms stamp set, Parisian Blossom Speciality Paper and Parisian Flourish Embossing Folder. Putting the layers on an angle gives this card a different look that I love.

Card Recipe

*The card base is Petal Pink
*The next layer Petal Pink and is 10 x 14.2cm Put through the Big Shot with the Parisian Flourish Embossing Folder
*The other two layers are Black Cardstock at 7.7 x 12cm and Designer Series Paper at 7.4 x 11.8cms
*Stamp the flower on Whisper White cardstock in Basic Grey, use watercolour pencils to colour in image then fussy cut out or use the corresponding dies.
*Stamp sentiment in Basic Grey and using Timeless Label punch out.
*Put together, using double sided tape adhere the embossed panel. Then adhere the DSP to the Black Cardstock and using Tombow glue place at angles on the card base.
*Adhere the flower with dimensionals to top layer.
*Cut a length of Petal Pink Ribbon and make a loop over the flower. Next place the punched out sentiment with dimensionals over this.
*Arrange 3 rhinestones on the card.
*Decorate inside the card and envelope.

Card Layers

Welcome back to my blog. Last week I did a post on how to cut cardstock to get your card bases and to make the most out of your cardstock. Now that you have that down pat the next step is layering your card bases. The easiest and most effective layering is using Designer Series Paper. Stampin' Up have a variety of  double sided patterned paper which they call Designer Series Paper  (DSP). The paper can be used for layering and the gorgeous images can also be fussy cut out to put on your card. When I started out making my cards I played around with layers and made templates of the ones that worked for me. Templates make creating cards somewhat easier as you don't have to remember the measurements. Have fun and don't be afraid to try out different layers. To start off cut your DSP to flush with your card base then cut smaller ones that work for you. Then add your sentiment and embellishments and you have a beautiful handmade card. Next week I will show some of my ...
