Card Layers

Welcome back to my blog. Last week I did a post on how to cut cardstock to get your card bases and to make the most out of your cardstock. Now that you have that down pat the next step is layering your card bases. The easiest and most effective layering is using Designer Series Paper. Stampin' Up have a variety of  double sided patterned paper which they call Designer Series Paper  (DSP). The paper can be used for layering and the gorgeous images can also be fussy cut out to put on your card. When I started out making my cards I played around with layers and made templates of the ones that worked for me. Templates make creating cards somewhat easier as you don't have to remember the measurements. Have fun and don't be afraid to try out different layers. To start off cut your DSP to flush with your card base then cut smaller ones that work for you. Then add your sentiment and embellishments and you have a beautiful handmade card. Next week I will show some of my

To get the most out of your cardstock follow these two examples and then create some beautiful handmade cards today. Landscape example Portrait
