Soft Pastels - Sympathy Card

Thank you for stopping by my blog today. At the time of writing this New Zealand have gone into Level 4 lockdown because of COVID cases again in the community. In Nelson we are staying this way for 3 days for now but could be more, we will know on Friday. I have been playing around with the Soft Pastel chalks. These awesome chalks can be used to colour, in  a lot of different ways. For these two examples I used the Delicate Dahlias stamp set (FREE with Sale-a-bration). The darker one I used the chalk wet with watercolour brushes the second one I used a dauber and dry chalk. Both are beautiful and different from each other. Gorgeous colours available are Coastal Cabana, Daffodil Delight, Gorgeous Grape, Granny Apple Green, Mango Melody, Mossy Meadow, Night of Navy & Poppy Parade The colours I used for the cards were Blackberry Bliss and Crumb Cake. The Crumb Cake cardstock was put through a Bark 3D Embossing Folder and the label around the Dahlias was die cut using a die from th...

Pansy Petals - A Little Hello from Me to You

Thank you for stopping by my blog today. This week I have created a card using the stamps from the Pansy Petals, the flowers are created with five different stamps and you can play around with the colours. They look so realistic on paper. This card was cased from a card swap I got from *Very Vanilla is the card base *Gorgeous Grape second layer, 14.4 x 10cm and put through Painted Texture 3D Embossing Folder. * Using one of the Ornate Layer Dies and Very Vanilla to create the frame. Find a stitched rectangle that fits inside the frame and die cut it from In Colour DSP. * On Very Vanilla Cardstock stamp three pansies, I used Fresh Freesia, Gorgeous Grape, Blackberry Bliss and Bumblebee to create mine but there are plenty of colour combinations available. The leaves are done in Soft Succulent & Evening Evergreen. * Stamp sentiment in Gorgeous Grape onto Very Vanilla and cut a flag shape at one end. * Arrange all onto card base. Decorate inside card. Don't forget to decorate the e...
